Branch Regulations

The rules governing how a Pickleball Japan (PJ) chapter, such as a prefectural federation, is set up and run.

Key Points

  • Purpose To promote the healthy development of competitive pickleball (Article 2)
  • Status & Structure An organization approved by the Board of Directors that shares PJ’s purpose and mission, with one chapter per prefecture as a rule (Article 4)
  • Name May use a name or logo such as “Pickleball Japan Federation ___ Prefecture Chapter” only with PJ’s approval (Article 6)
  • Officers A chairperson, vice chairperson(s), directors, and a secretary-general, each serving a two-year term (renewable) (Articles 8–10)
  • Finances Funded by membership fees, grants, and donations, with a fiscal year running from April 1 to March 31 (Articles 14 & 16)
  • Reporting Submits its articles of incorporation or bylaws, a list of officers, and business and financial reports to PJ (Article 5)
  • Withdrawal & Penalties May withdraw following review by the Board of Directors and approval by the Board of Trustees; violations may result in a warning, suspension, or expulsion (Articles 12, 17 & 18)
