Registration Rules for Players, Referees, and Coaches

These rules govern the registration of players, referees, coaches, trainers, and others.

Article 1 (Purpose)

Pickleball Japan Federation (“PJ”) establishes these rules to set out the matters necessary for the registration of players, referees, coaches, and others.

Article 2 (Categories of Registrants)

1) The following persons must register with PJ.

1. Players competing in PJ-hosted or PJ-supported tournaments, and in the final qualifying rounds of such tournaments
2. Persons who engage in pickleball activity for financial compensation (professionals)
3. Referees certified by PJ
4. Coaches certified by PJ
5. Trainers certified by PJ (ambassadors)

2) Sports instructors certified by the Japan Sport Association (pickleball coaches/instructors) are considered registered with PJ.

Article 3 (Training)

PJ may require training as a condition of registration or renewal of registration.

Article 4 (Registration Fee)

Registrants must pay the prescribed registration fee to PJ.

Article 5 (Delegation of Administration)

PJ may delegate administration of the registration described in the preceding article to prefectural pickleball associations.

Article 6 (Amendment and Abolition)

These rules may be amended or abolished by resolution of the Board of Directors.
