Certified Courts

A list of PJ-certified courts, how court certification works, and how to apply.

You can register a court using an existing facility, such as a tennis court, and registration is possible starting from a single court.

Court Ranks

A

PJ Certified Court

Criteria: A permanent court certified by PJ, most often installed under elevated structures such as train lines.

What’s possible: PJ runs lessons, clinics, and events here, and promotes it as a PJ Certified Court.

B

PJ Official Tournament Venue

Criteria: An official competition venue capable of hosting major domestic tournaments, with 16 or more courts as a rule, and a surface equivalent to a hard tennis court.

What’s possible: Becomes a candidate venue for national and international tournaments.

C

PJ Partner Court

Criteria: An independently run facility or small-scale court.

What’s possible: May be asked to support PJ events and tournaments as a court that helps grow the sport locally.

Requirements for a PJ Official Tournament Venue: 16 or more courts / a surface equivalent to a hard tennis court / facilities required for tournament operations / parking and spectator space / changing rooms and restrooms / space for a tournament headquarters / compliance with PJ competition rules.

Permitted to use the certified logo and PJ banner
Considered as a candidate venue for tournaments and events

Applying to Register a Court

Who Can Apply

Courts owned by organizations that support PJ’s activities, or courts belonging to organizations that cooperate with PJ, are eligible.

Required Documents

  • A court diagram with dimensions marked
  • A photo of the whole court
  • An overhead photo of the entire facility
  • Detailed photos of the net and lines
  • If lighting is installed, photos with the lights both on and off
  • If a fence is installed, a photo showing the fence together with the court

How to Apply

Facilities wishing to register should apply via the registration application form. Payment can be completed using the link for your court-count category below.

1–5 courts

¥10,000/year

6–10 courts

¥15,000/year
Proceed to payment for this category

11–15 courts

¥20,000/year
Proceed to payment for this category

16+ courts

¥25,000/year
